Prof T.Sharma keeps on shouting in his high pitched voice.
"Note it down, fast" Because your Assignments will be based on this derivation.
"I hate Quantum Physics" mumbles a soft voice beside me
As soon as turn my head, I see a sweet girl with large eyes wearing a purple framed spectacle and having violet hair quickly jotting down the notes.
"Hi, I'm kirti, What's your name?" She whispers shifting a little closer to me
" Naisha " I whisper back
" A pretty name for a pretty girl " She gives a bright smile
" Thank you, umm yours too " I start writing again
" Where are you from? Do you stay here only ?" She starts searching for something in her bag
"No, This is my first time here, I will stay in hostel here " I look at the packet of chips in her hands
She opens it and forces a few chips in her mouth
" wanna have some? " She can't even speak properly with the voracious amount of food in her mouth.
" No, What if Sir sees you, hey stop! " I giggle slapping her arm
" Helium is too busy in his theory of realtivity now " She keeps on munching on her chips
" Who is Helium?" I frown
"Prof T. Sharma who else, listen to his voice he speaks as if he inhaled helium" She snorts
"Hahahaha, you are crazy" I somehow control my laugh
" Okay, so today's class will be upto this ,next day we will do Hamilton's principle" prof Sharma starts compiling his notes
As soon as he leaves , the class breaks out into hollering . Everyone is shouting , yelling making acquaintances with each other. The scenes in front of my eyes warms my heart.
" C'mon, Let's go outside" Kirti starts dragging me by my hand towards the corridor of our university
" Where are we going, uhhh let my take my ------" I start collecting my bag and notebooks.
"Areee we don't have any classes now, next one is on second half after lunch" she wraps her arms around my shoulders
"Okay, then let's go to the canteen" We both walk through the corridor
The canteen is packed with students. Although I don't like so much chaos and crowd but it looks beautiful here. This university is huge unlike my previous colleges
"Let's order something , I'll take cheese sandwich, what about you? " she starts tapping the menu
" Order the same for me " I take out my purse and forward her the money
" Keep it, I'll take it later " She rushes to the counter to order
After ten minutes she comes back with three plates and three glasses of strawberry shakes and puts it on the table.
" Jump on, the sandwich here is bomb, that's what they were saying" She literally puts the whole sandwich in her mouth
" But for whom is the third plate for ?" I take a bite of the sandwich. It's really good, the cheese melts in the crevices of my mouth
"It's for Megha, why isn't she coming !!! wait let me give her a call" She starts dialing a number
"Kahan hai tu, main sandwich leke baithi hoon, jaldi aa" She shouts on the phone
(" Where are you, I'm sitting with the sandwich , come fast")
"Who is she?" I savour on my sandwich
" Megha and me are childhood bestfriends, we have studied in the same school, then in the same college and now in the same university" She declares proudly
" Ohh wowww, that's great, which department is she in? So You two live in this city from childhood " I sip on my strawberry milkshake
"Yes and She is from Chemistry department , I don't know how someone can work with chemicals throughout the day with those ugly smelling chemicals" She makes a gagging sound
"Just like we like Physics, she likes chemistry, it's all about personal choices " I shrug looking at her
"Tell me more about you, I want to know everything" She straightens up in her chair excitedly
"Looks like you found someone new??" A voice comes from behind
As soon as I turn back I see a pretty girl wearing lab coat and a having a huge book in her hand coming towards us and sitting on the empty chair between us
" Megha kamini, this is your time to come?" Kirti slaps on her arm
"Don't tell bro, that professor was taking the practical class till last moment" Megha slumps in the chair
"Meet Naisha our new friend," Kirti pulls me closer to her
"Hellooo, I'm Megha from chemistry department ,first year ,nice to meet you Naisha" She forwards her hand towards me
"same here" I shake hands with her
"Can you guys stop behaving like school kids, hi hello nice to meet you ,we are fucking grown ups" Kirti throws her hands up in the air
"Maybe everyone is not too extrovert like you kirti" Megha slaps her back
"Munh band kar apna" She shakes her jaw
"So tell us Naisha ,From where have you done your graduation from? Where are you going to stay here?" Megha asks while eating her sandwich
" I have studied from St Agnes College. I'll take the hostel here. Umm Actually----" I can't even finish my sentence when a ruckus starts in the canteen
I see a guy with long hair slaps a boy wearing blue shirt and yanks him by his collar to the ground.
"How dare you take my seat and plate?"
"Do you even know who I am?" He shouts on the blue shirt
"Leave it man, looks like he is a fresher he does not know " A group of boys tugs the long hair away from the blue shirt.
"Uhhhhggg not again , this Subham will never ever rectify himself " kirti rolls her eyes
" A dog's tail can never be straight , you know" Megha mumbles under her breath
"You guys know him? Who is he ?" I ask both of them .
"That's Subham, He was our senior in the college, He comes from an influential family" Kirti huffs in an uninterested way
"Leave him, this is not your old college , here the authorities are different and very strict " A guy pulls Subham out of the canteen
"Umm, it's too much chaos here, can we go and sit in somewhere peaceful?" I ask them with a sheepish smile
"I was just about to say it" Megha stands up and starts collecting her belongings
"Let's go to the garden behind zoology lab" kirti jumps excitedly
We all move out of the canteen and walk towards the garden .
The corridors are hustling with students, Some are chatting, some are eating food, some of the love birds blooming with love, Some are arguing over studies. Overall it's such a lovely atmosphere, the whole university blooming with chirpy and jovial aura.
The college in which I have studied was also beautiful, but it was not so huge like this one . Every inch of MANASWA UNIVERSITY screams power, grandeur and royalty.
"This side girl...."Kirti tugs my elbow and we reach the garden
"My goodness!!!! What in the freaking beauty is this " I gasp seeing the gorgeous Garden in front of me.
A conglomeration of vibrant colours hits my eyes. The greenery of the healthy grass along with smell of lovely flowers brings an instant smile on my face.
Although many things are artificial here still it is so pretty and large
"Looks like you are too lost in the beauty........" Kirti weaves her hand in front of my eyes.
"Let's sit on that bench" Megha pulls me into the lush grass on the other side
"Okay so let's start with Naisha , Tell us about yourself" Kirti lies down over the grass and Megha sits beside me on the bench.
"I have done my schooling from St. Xavier's and ............" Suddenly my phone starts ringing
I see an unknown number " Hello.."
"Hello...Miss Naisha?" A womanly voice comes from the other side of the call
"Yess speaking"
"We wanted to inform you that the room which you were allotted in the hostel is still not vacant " She declares
"Whattt !!!! And you are saying me that now?"
"Put the phone on speaker" Both of them whisper from sides
"Sorry miss, It was about to be vacant today afternoon, but the student was a Ph.D Scholar and she had some issues with her thesis so she had to extend her----"
"What am I supposed to do now? " I huff out
" You can talk with the student HR Department miss, they can help" She disconnect the call.
She said the hostel room allotted to me is not yet vacant.
"Let's go to the Student humanities department, c'mon" Megha and Kirti jumps as if it's their own problem
We immediately rush to the Student's cell. I see an old man in suit sitting there
And writing something in his files
"Sir , May we come in?" All three of us speak together
"Yes Please" he motions towards the chairs in front of him.
"Sir, I'm Naisha Roy, Student of masters in Physics, today is my First Day in college and I was supposed to stay in Hostel from today, but just now I got a call that it is not vacant yet because the scholar who had some issues in her thesis had extended her stay " I breath everything out in one go
"Okay, let me verify once" He starts checking something on the laptop and calls someone
"So Miss Naisha, I talked with the hostel authorities and before two weeks no room allotment is possible, since you confirmed it in the last moment , at that time already others were allotted to students " He resumes his typing
"This is so logicless ,I mean what kind of bulls----"Kirti stops before completing her sentence
"Miss I told you, after two weeks you will get it, We are sorry" His tone expresses that he wants us out of his room
All of us come and sit in the garden again
"Now I have to stay in hotel for two weeks " I feel so exhausted at this point
"Ummm, if you don't mind you can stay in my home you know" Megha says with a bright smile
"I was just about to say this , it would be great, Naisha you stay in Megha's house for two weeks, yeaaaaaa" Kirti claps her hands
"No, please that would be so --- I mean you have a family why would they be comfortable with a stranger in their home, please no , I'll stay in a hotel here" I don't want to be a burden on someone
" Arrreee you know she does not live in a house, she lives in a bungalow, they are literally the richest people here, they can keep you forever ,two weeks is nothing, even the college----" Megha slaps Kirti's arm before she can complete her sentence
"Stop it Kirti, when will your habit of speaking too much go away, Ignore her, trust me we would have no problem, everyone will be so happy in my family, It is just a matter of two weeks" Megha gives a soft squeeze to my hand
"Areee this is what friends are for , chill baby girl" Kirti twirls her hair in hand.
"Okay so , Let us do one thing , first we will do our classes of second half and then we will go to your hotel and pack your things and go to my house " Megha prepositions the whole plan
"Let us bunk the class na, It would be so fun" Kirti starts jumping
"No, It's our first day, Let us do the classes properly, and then do what Megha suggested" I calm her down
"Okay see you guys after the class, I am having organic chemistry practical class now, byeeee" Megha starts running towards her class
"We have Nuclear physics Lab now, Let's go, It's prof swaminathan Right?" I ask kirti while going through the timetable
Both of us rush towards our classes

After completing our classes we three meet outside the college gate, A lavish red car stands in front of us. I get to know that it is Megha's car. She really comes from a rich family
"Take us to hotel heavens" Megha orders her driver
Reaching there I pack my bags and other belongings from there. They help me take everything.
And as soon as I stand in front of Megha's house my eyes bulge out. Is this a freaking palace or what!!
"Come Let us go inside, everyone would be so happy to see you" She pulls me along with her.
